Rebranding & interior design of b.house (Brussels Airlines’ offices)

Brussels Airlines, the marriage between SN Brussels Airlines and Virgin Express, recently moved to their new offices in the b.house near Brussels Airport. MAXIMALdesign was commissioned by Brussels Airlines to create the architectural identity, interior and furniture design of common spaces: reception and waiting area, the creative room, coffee lounge, kitchen and cafetaria, boardroom and meeting rooms.

One international company, one staff, proud to work

The challenge was to create an enjoyable working environment that breathes the Brussels Airlines’ brand and translates the brand values and identity into a compelling experience for staff and visitors. Another big challenge was the very short delivery time, from concept to realization within a period of 4 months.

The key drivers of the interior concept were: flexibility, innovation, integration, cross fertilisation, branding, and a not too luxurious but pleasant working environment.

The ‘atmosphere’ keywords were:
• one international company, one staff
• proud to work
• feel at home, for everyone (multiple cultures)
• well-being

Working with MAXIMALdesign

“I would like to use the opportunity to thank you for your excellent work regarding the re-branding of b.house. People enjoy working there, and visitors immediately recognize the "special b.air spirit". Thank you for making this work with such tight timescales! We enjoy working with you and your team, and we appreciate your professional way of working.”

“Ik ben aangenaam verrast door de vooruitgang die jullie geboekt hebben in de realisatie van het nieuwe design van b.house, en vooral rekening houdend met de korte tijdspanne. Ik kan u alleen maar bedanken voor uw inzet en dat van uw team. De werken gingen razendsnel vooruit. Met deze nieuwe look, die ik persoonlijk enorm apprecieer, hoop ik dat iedereen zich als één maatschappij zal voelen.”
