INSPIRATION COCKTAIL • we have seen the future…

MAXIMALdesign and Epimmo organised the EXPERIENCE COCKTAIL in the Febiac building in Brussels, last month, on the 7th of June.
We invited 4 speakers to fire up the minds.

Joost Kaesemans of Febiac explained that the renovation project of the House of the Automobile did not only lower the facility cost and the users’ well-being, but added the measured figures: over 600 events organised since the opening in June 2011, and the full building space rented out within this timeframe, while we are experiencing a crisis and and an office surface surplus in the Brussels area. Nathalie Bekx of Trendhuis (www.trendhuis.be) gave here insight, based upon extensive customer research, on customer behaviour in thes volatile times. Start questioning everything you have taken for granted: times are a-changing at a rapid pace… One remarkable insight is the fact that the trendsetters aren’t what they used to be: it’s the generation which is trouble-free who are showing the directions of innovations. They have the financial power and the mental peace to steer the new requirements. More insight upon request.

Next up was Serge Degheldere of Futureproofed (www.futureproofed.com). Sustainability isn’t just a new requirement, it’s an obligation. Our impact on the planet is massive and we need to be aware! But within this limitation, there is opportunity for new creativity, innovation and business… It should be the new industrial revolution of the dirable kind! Serge’s speech upon request.

Finally Christian Salez, CEO of Delvaux, took the stage with his insights and questions to the speakers. Luxury, he stated, is durable by definition: it is not made to be thrown away; it is made for the future generation and, even after repairs, will increase in value: the emotional value of things of beauty and workmanship. Something for other industries to learn from…

The Inspiration Cocktail will be repeted with new speakers and new insights to make a better world. Hope to see you then.
